B. Mason Judy, MA, LMHC, is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist serving adolescents & adults in Washington state.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a therapeutic treatment that promotes change and growth within a confidential relationship between patient and therapist. From a psychoanalytic perspective, a person is profoundly and uniquely shaped by their individual experiences, relationships, and culture in ways that are not entirely available to one’s own understanding but are nonetheless acted upon and lived out. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy attends to these dimensions of a person’s life and offers an opportunity for transformation.

Through ongoing treatment in psychotherapy, usually meeting once or twice a week, a person can begin to explore their experience, address areas of pain, suffering, and loss, change established patterns of relating to themselves and others, and thus unfold new possibilities for their future.
